## Title: Volunteer Teaching Position - Governance, Peace & Security Studies

Position Overview

Africa Nazarene University (ANU) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for a volunteer teaching position in Governance, Peace & Security Studies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of high-quality curriculum
  • Review curriculum and course outlines and develop course and lesson plans
  • Prepare contact learning and online course materials and teaching aids
  • Employ various teaching methods (field studies, group activities, assignments, laboratory sessions, off-class activities) to facilitate student learning and deliver course content
  • Develop learning assessment plans
  • Supervise and guide undergraduate students, graduate students, internship programs, and research work
  • Participate in departmental research and conduct research in specialist areas, publishing findings in professional journals, books, or electronic media
  • Participate in grant writing and research collaborations
  • Advise students on academic, career, and related issues when required
  • Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, industrial linkages, and market outreach visits as required
  • Participate in departmental administrative and field operations and programs

Academic and Professional Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field aligned with the program domain, OR
  • Master's degree in a relevant field with PhD candidacy at the final stage (data collection), OR
  • At least three (3) years of relevant industry experience
