Unit Manager (Industrial Area Branch)

About the Position

Madison Group Limited is seeking a qualified Unit Manager for our Industrial Area Branch in Nairobi, Kenya. In this role, you will lead a team of agents while driving revenue growth and implementing market development strategies across your unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Sell company products in line with product strategy and established revenue budgets, with support from the Branch Manager, Regional Business Development Manager, and Head of Branches
• Provide after-sales services related to insurance contracts as required
• Understand the regional market and implement market development strategies under guidance of management
• Achieve annual revenue budgets, manpower growth targets (agent recruitment), and expense control objectives for the unit
• Recruit, select, train, motivate, supervise, develop, and manage agents within the unit according to established guidelines
• Monitor overall agent performance and provide well-considered recommendations for improvement
• Prepare and submit unit production reports to the Branch Manager on a weekly basis
• Build and maintain strong public relations with policy owners, the business community, professionals, and government agencies within the branch territory
• Serve as liaison and communication link between the unit and branch office through timely and accurate dispatch of information via memoranda, telephone, fax, and email; observe all deadlines
• Interpret company policies and procedures to office personnel, agents, and customers
• Ensure all agents operating within the unit maintain proper licensure as required by Kenyan law
• Perform additional ad hoc duties and tasks as directed by the company
• Build and maintain a sales force for the unit
