Tutorial Fellow in Clinical Medicine - 5 Posts

Position Overview

The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton is recruiting for five (5) Tutorial Fellow positions in Clinical Medicine.

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Master of Science in Clinical Medicine degree from an accredited university
• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Medicine or related field (such as Medicine) with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0/4.0 or Second-Class Upper Division from an accredited/recognized university
• Minimum grade of C+ in KCSE or equivalent qualification
• Valid practice license from the Clinical Officers Council (COC) of Kenya
• Certified copies of academic certificates and academic transcripts
• Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)

Required Experience

• At least three years of teaching/research experience at the university level as a Tutorial/Research Fellow

Preferred Qualifications and Advantages

• Membership in professional bodies relevant to Clinical Medicine or healthcare education
• Proof of registration for a PhD degree in the relevant field/area of study
• Clinical experience in a healthcare setting with hands-on patient care

Required Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in computer applications, including:
  • SPSS or other statistical software
  • School Management System
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • E-Learning platforms and Internet applications
• Proficiency in modern teaching methods, including technology-enhanced and simulation-based clinical education

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and diploma courses within the department and in other programs with relevant course requests
• Develop teaching materials for blended learning environments
• Promote the mission of the department and the University
• Participate in the preparation of departmental activities and initiatives
