A top employer is now accepting applications for this role. Position Overview: Prepdia Kenya is a leading home tutoring company connecting parents and students with qualified tutors. We are seeking a Tutor Recruiter to join our team. This role is critical to ensure that every tutor we onboard meets our high-quality standards. The successful candidate will interview, assess, and recruit tutors, with a focus on primary and science subjects, ensuring that our clients have access to skilled and reliable educators. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interviews with prospective tutors to evaluate subject knowledge, teaching ability, and suitability.
  • Assess tutor resumes, qualifications, and references to ensure alignment with Prepdia’s standards.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to manage tutor onboarding and maintain a qualified tutor pool.
  • Provide feedback to tutors on performance during interviews and guide them on expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutor recruitment, assessments, and hiring decisions.
  • Assist with scheduling and logistics for interviews (virtual or physical).
  • Collaborate with management to refine recruitment strategies and improve tutor quality over time.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field; teaching experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven knowledge in primary and secondary science subjects is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with tutors and colleagues.
  • Ability to evaluate teaching skills, problem-solving abilities, and subject knowledge.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and professional in approach.
  • Prior experience in recruitment, interviewing, or education administration is advantageous.
  • Comfortable working independently and meeting recruitment targets.
