Technical Engineer: Multibrand at CFAO Motors Kenya limited (Formerly Toyota Kenya)

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for providing quality and timely support on product quality, service quality, and warranty to branches in line with manufacturer (Multibrand – VW & Mercedes) quality standards.

Managerial and Supervisory Responsibilities

• Develop technical support strategy to support efficiency and effectiveness in providing service support to branches and ensure quality service delivery to customers
• Develop section budget to ensure allocation of sufficient resources required for successful implementation of department strategy
• Develop policies and procedures to serve as guidelines in providing technical support to users, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and CMK guidelines
• Coordinate the development of work plans for the section to support successful implementation of section strategy and achievement of set targets within expected timelines and quality standards
• Monitor utilization of the Technical Support section budget to enhance efficiency in resource utilization
• Monitor warranty budget to ensure proper utilization of available resources
• Develop an efficient warranty claims process in support of manufacturers' warranty policies and procedures for all Multibrand vehicles
• Supervise delivery of service by the Warranty Coordinator for enhanced performance and motivation

Operational Responsibilities

• Coordinate section operations to ensure alignment with section strategy, compliance with manufacturer and CMK requirements, and efficient and effective delivery
• Coordinate parts test requests from manufacturer to provide feedback on market requirements
• Coordinate recovery of parts by the Technical Service section to ensure 100% recovery in line with manufacturer requirements
