Sports Physiotherapist / Sports Injury Specialist at The International School of Kenya

About the Role

The International School of Kenya is seeking a qualified Sports Physiotherapist/Sports Injury Specialist to join our School Health team. Working under the supervision of the School Health Clinician, you will provide professional, responsive, and student-centered health services with a specific focus on the prevention, management, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries.

This position requires flexible working hours, including after-school, evenings, and weekends, to ensure comprehensive coverage of athletics and extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide immediate assessment and treatment for sports-related injuries during practices, games, and competitions
• Deliver physiotherapy services, including rehabilitation plans, exercise therapy, and preventative care tailored to student-athletes
• Respond to medical emergencies and activate emergency protocols in line with school health procedures
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of injuries, treatments, rehabilitation progress, and emergency responses
• Collaborate with coaches, activity supervisors, and athletics staff to support safe return-to-play decisions
• Educate students and staff on injury prevention, safe training practices, and stretching/conditioning routines
• Monitor, maintain, and restock all athletics-related medical kits and supplies in collaboration with the Health Clinician
• Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and families regarding medical incidents and rehabilitation plans
• Support the School Health Clinician in broader student health initiatives as needed
• Perform other health and safety duties as reasonably assigned

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, or related field
