Senior Officer Learning & Development

Job Purpose

The Senior Officer, Learning & Development supports the Manager Learning in the design, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development strategies and employee engagement programmes. This role enhances staff capability, performance, and overall talent growth in alignment with DIB Kenya's strategic objectives. The job holder manages all activities, communications, sensitization, and monitoring of the process to ensure effectiveness and relevance to business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Learning and Development Strategy

• Continuously engage with team leaders and departmental heads to develop the Bank's Learning Strategy
• Partner and maintain relationships with accredited institutions, training providers, and regulators (e.g., CBK, KBA, NITA) to ensure compliance and relevance of learning content
• Build and promote a learning culture within the Bank to achieve significant uptake of courses from the Bank's e-learning platform

Program Design and Implementation

• Plan, design, and implement programs to address identified skill gaps
• Develop e-learning content for publication on the Knowledge and Learning Management System (KLMS)
• Support the development and enhancement of relevant leadership development interventions, programs, events, and products
• Coordinate all training-related activities in line with approved and best-in-class standards
• Ensure programs are implemented in line with committed resources

Monitoring and Evaluation

• Monitor the implementation of approved training programs and budget
• Design tools and templates for measuring the effectiveness of all training programs
• Monitor training effectiveness and maintain robust reporting systems including ROI analysis and compliance tracking
• Provide monthly training reports showing the effectiveness of implemented programs and suggestions for improvement
