About the Position

Karatina University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer in Information Systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and assess courses in Information Systems at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Supervise undergraduate projects and other experiential learning programmes
• Supervise dissertations and theses at the graduate level
• Develop undergraduate and postgraduate courses
• Initiate, promote, and participate in research projects
• Participate in academic leadership programmes
• Provide professional and community services, and initiate linkages and fundraising activities
• Carry out administrative and other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Earned Doctorate degree or its academic equivalent
• Minimum of four (4) years of teaching or research experience at university level since becoming Lecturer
• Evidence of supervision of postgraduate degree students
• Attendance and contribution at academic conferences, seminars, or workshops
• Minimum of 4 publications in refereed journals since appointment as Lecturer
• Fulfillment of the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
