Overall Purpose:
- Responsible for generation of revenue and overall success of the assigned vehicle brand
- Improve and grow the business unit by fostering and developing relationships with customers, suppliers and other partners.
- Improve profitability of the business unit through careful strategic planning and positioning
- Represent our Brand, with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings
- Achieve Company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance.
- Oversee the Sales unit of the Brand to ensure Company quotas and standards are met
- Develop and review forecasts and profits across departments under the Brand.
- Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends related to Brand performance
- Generate leads, build and nurture client relationships
- Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands customer base and extends national and regional reach
- Research consumer needs and identify how our solutions meet them
- Understand competitors, their strategies and counter-tactics towards improving positioning of the Brand.
- Champion and oversee adherence to Brand standards for all activities related to the Brand.
- Collaborate with other business units on developing, recommending and executing both short and long-range advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions and compensation plans.
- Attend to customer complaints, ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is obtained and maintained.
- Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs
- Assist in recruitment of personnel under the Brand, set objectives, train and coach, and monitor performance ensuring assigned tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled
- Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop a plan to fulfil them
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Continuously develop personal leadership, hiring, and training skills while ensuring the team is using effective tactics to meet revenue objectives.
- Work with other business unit managers to ensure appropriate resource allocation for priority business opportunities.
- Degree in business administration, with focus on sales or related qualification
- 5+ years in the automotive industry, with experience in premium and/or luxury vehicle sales and sales management
