About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations and maintain the highest standards of service, hygiene, and customer satisfaction at our restaurant in Nairobi, Kenya.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure seamless functioning
• Maintain hygiene controls, housekeeping standards, and established procedures
• Liaise with Front Office and Reservation desk to ensure all booking details are properly covered
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and prompt, professional complaint handling
• Monitor operating supplies and stock levels; place orders and manage inventory to reduce spoilage, wastage, and pilferage
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Assist in training new staff on service standards, techniques, and operational procedures
• Manage restaurant staff scheduling, duty delegation, and performance monitoring
• Enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
• Perform opening and closing procedures as established
• Conduct staff briefings on special events, menu specials, beverage promotions, and other relevant matters
• Inspect cleanliness and condition of furniture, linen, cutlery, chinaware, glassware, condiments, and service accessories; take corrective action as needed
• Address guest complaints immediately and escalate when necessary
• Prepare daily reports on restaurant activities, sales, and staff performance
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and ambiance throughout the restaurant
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings, departmental trainings, and hotel-initiated trainings
• Perform other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities
