About the Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our research team. This role focuses on recruitment of study participants and implementation of research activities at the University of Nairobi.

Job Purpose

Recruitment of study participants and study implementation

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operationalize study Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on site activation, participant recruitment, and data management
• Ensure compliance with study protocol and institutional guidelines
• Implement study activities including community engagement, information provision on study purpose and conduct
• Obtain informed consent and collect samples
• Maintain accurate records of study procedures
• Provide study team with regular feedback on study activities
• Participate in regular team calls and meetings
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Applicants must meet at least one of the following qualification pathways to be eligible:

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) with evidence of research experience; OR
• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences with at least three (3) years of relevant research or clinical experience; OR
• Diploma in a health profession with three (3) years of experience in infectious diseases (HIV, TB) or NCD prevention and care; OR
• Master's degree in Social Sciences in any of the following disciplines: Sociology, Medical Anthropology, Health Economics, or Gender Studies, with demonstrated qualitative research experience
