Quality Assurance Officer at Kenya Methodist University (KeMU)

Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Officer will implement the University's policies, procedures, and processes for quality assurance and enhance quality professional services to students, staff, and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Implement the University Quality Assurance policy
• Spearhead ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) implementation across the University
• Monitor teaching and learning activities and prepare comprehensive reports
• Undertake programme evaluations throughout the University
• Analyze external examiners' reports
• Review all quality assurance procedures, tools, and methods
• Conduct tracer studies on matters affecting quality of training and research, and propose solutions
• Monitor University adherence to quality assurance procedures and guidelines set by National, Regional, and International Quality Assurance Agencies
• Collaborate with agencies and bodies responsible for quality evaluation and accreditation procedures at national and international levels
• Serve as Secretariat to the Directorate of Quality Assurance and Curriculum meetings
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality Assurance and Curriculum Development

Minimum Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant field from a recognized university
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in quality assurance within a university or comparable organization
• Certificate in Quality Management Systems
• Knowledge of professional standards
• Experience using statistical or qualitative software packages
