Quality Assurance and Lead Mentor

Position Overview

Nairobi Waldorf School seeks a skilled and collaborative Lead Mentor to join our leadership team. This role focuses on supporting teachers and students across the school through coaching, evaluation, and process improvement while partnering with parents and caregivers to foster a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Strengthen teacher practice through effective coaching and evaluation
• Mentor and coach teachers through observation, reflection, and professional dialogue
• Support new teacher on-boarding and ongoing faculty development
• Improve and implement evaluative processes across the team and classes
• Co-lead faculty meetings and collegial processes
• Work in partnership with parents and caregivers to foster a supportive educational environment
• Manage administrative tasks including teacher appraisals and student assessment
• Work closely with heads of each Community of Practice as both mentor and coach within the wider leadership team

Role Flexibility

There will be flexibility in the responsibilities of this position. Duties will be shaped and negotiated with the successful candidate to best meet the needs of the school and the individual.

Ideal Candidate Profile

This dynamic role is suited to an educator with strong leadership capacity and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ideally, candidates should have taken a class through from Class 1 to Class 8 at least two times.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or equivalent qualification
• Master's Degree in Education, Education Administration, or Curriculum Planning (preferred advantage)
• Diploma in relevant field (preferred)
