Position Overview
We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for Professor and Associate Professor positions in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, specializing in Electric Power and Grid Systems. These positions entail providing leadership in the design, development, and implementation of teaching and learning programmes at the Institute, while developing and implementing research strategies within your area of specialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead research partnerships, collaborations, and linkages in your area of specialization at national, regional, and international levels
- Initiate and lead external bids for research funding and consultancies in your area of specialization
- Exercise sapiential authority and provide intellectual and educational leadership
- Promote the development of innovative approaches to course design and delivery while ensuring compliance with the Institute's quality framework, educational standards, and regulations
- Identify learning needs of students and design appropriate learning outcomes
- Assess students' learning activities, examine work, and provide constructive feedback
- Provide academic leadership by promoting a vibrant and productive academic environment
- Develop laboratory manuals in line with approved curricula in your thematic area
- Supervise students' theses, dissertations, internships, and attachments, where applicable
- Mentor teaching and research staff and students in your area of specialization
- Champion dissemination of research outputs and outcomes in your research areas of interest
- Collaborate with stakeholders and industry in technology transfer and commercialization of innovation
- Mobilize resources and establish academic-industry collaborations
