Job Purpose
Coordinate provision of policy and other strategic guidance, technical support and capacity building for health promotion, prevention, control, and management of Syndemic diseases. Spearhead the strengthening of primary health care systems in the country by initiating development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and review of programme policies, strategies and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, dissemination, and implementation of policies, strategies, standards and guidelines related to Syndemic Diseases Control Programmes at National and County levels
- Coordinate stakeholders to ensure accountability for implementation of syndemic diseases programmes across the country
- Support counties in developing and implementing strategic plans for Syndemic Diseases Control Programmes
- Establish functional multi-sectoral committees to measure, review and report on progress of the syndemic diseases response
- Disseminate performance reports to Ministries, Counties, Development Agencies and other relevant stakeholders in line with set targets
- Convene relevant state and non-state stakeholders to advise and participate in syndemic diseases control and prevention
- Develop appropriate mechanisms for research, surveillance, monitoring and evaluation of the syndemic diseases programme
- Provide stewardship to ensure compliance with national, regional and global statutory reporting requirements for the syndemic diseases response
Required Qualifications
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields from a recognized institution:
- Public Health
- Health Economics
- Epidemiology
- Medicine
- Social Sciences
- Business Administration
- Public Administration
- Related disciplines
