Nutrition Internship at Tanager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of nutrition-focused technical assistance as per the IGNITE+ model
• Contribute to strengthening institutional systems and structures towards nutrition integration for IGNITE+ clients
• Support the design and delivery of participatory training, sensitization workshops, and capacity-building sessions on nutrition integration for clients
• Support the development and piloting of capacity-building tools that integrate both gender and nutrition into the design and implementation of agriculture activities
• Respond to routine client queries and escalate where appropriate to ensure timely and accurate responses to inquiries
• Support the preparation of nutrition-related reports while adhering to corporate standards and quality controls
• Accompany staff in partner meetings, workshops, and contribute to project learning activities
• Perform other related duties as required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Development Studies, Agricultural Economics, or any other relevant field
• Recently completed master's degree in the above fields of study (within the last 12-18 months) or awaiting graduation
• Good understanding of global and continental commitment mechanisms for nutrition in agriculture for stakeholders such as governments, NGOs, and private sector
• Understanding of nutrition-sensitive agriculture concepts and approaches

• Strong written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to write required documents in a clear, concise, well-organized manner
• Collaborative approach and openness to feedback
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with teams while navigating challenging or unexpected circumstances
• Advanced computer skills in a Windows-based environment, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Fluency in English
