Nurse Manager at Oasis Healthcare

Overall Responsibility

The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing unit while ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve unit operations and patient care
• Lead, manage, and support the nursing staff in the unit, including recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication and teamwork
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care by the nursing team
• Oversee patient care plans and ensure they meet the needs of patients and their families
• Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvement initiatives as needed
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the unit, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and policies
• Oversee the maintenance of accurate patient records and documentation
• Implement and monitor quality improvement programs and patient safety initiatives
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with best practices and standards
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals and departments to coordinate patient care and services
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and hospital committees

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
