Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant at Zizi Afrique Foundation

Position Overview

The consultant will develop comprehensive monitoring and evaluation systems and document key achievements for evidence-based initiatives.

Primary Deliverables

1. Comprehensive M&E Framework Development

Desk Review and Stakeholder Engagement

• Conduct comprehensive review of project documents
• Consult with project staff, partners, and key stakeholders
• Understand the project's goals, theory of change, and logic model

Framework Design

Align MEL frameworks for initiatives aimed at catalyzing evidence and create a clear, practical M&E framework that includes:

• Theory of Change/Logical Framework: Articulate the project's pathways to impact
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Define SMART indicators for output, outcome, and impact levels
• Baseline Data Assessment: Propose methodology for establishing baseline values against which progress will be measured
• Data Collection Tools and Methods: Design templates and specify frequency of data collection
• Roles and Responsibilities: Define accountability for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data
• Learning and Adaptation Mechanisms: Embed processes for using M&E data for real-time program adaptation and iterative learning

2. Document Key Achievements and Impact Stories

Data Review and Synthesis

• Analyze existing data, reports, and internal documents
• Identify key results and evidence of impact

Stakeholder Interviews

• Conduct interviews with project beneficiaries, partners, and staff
• Gather qualitative evidence and personal testimonials

Impact Story Development

Produce 3-5 detailed, evidence-based impact stories and case studies that highlight:

• The change brought about by the initiative
• Data or evidence that proves this change
• Powerful quotes and human narratives

Consolidated Report

• Create a concise, visually engaging "Achievements Report"
• Summarize the initiative's key outputs, outcomes, and impact
• Incorporate the developed impact stories
