Maintenance- Plumbing Internship at Tamarind Group

About the Role

Tamarind Group is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Plumbing Intern to support our maintenance team. You will assist experienced plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems while adhering to the highest professional standards and company policies to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and repair of plumbing components, fixtures, and systems including pipes, tubes, fittings, toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, water heaters, boilers, and drainage systems
• Help cut, measure, thread, and assemble pipes and fittings
• Locate and diagnose plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and other malfunctions in water supply and drainage systems
• Learn proper use, care, and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and specialized plumbing equipment including pipe wrenches, cutters, and welding/soldering equipment
• Prepare job sites, carry and fetch tools and materials, and ensure work areas are thoroughly cleaned upon completion
• Assist in recording and checking utilities records for future reference
• Support opening and closing duties for day planning and other engineering activities such as repairs and upgrades
• Ensure all standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are maintained and adhered to
• Help minimize downtime and improve customer experience through effective time management
• Strictly follow all instructions and directions provided by supervising licensed plumbers
• Learn and comply with all company and industry safety protocols and plumbing codes (federal, state, and local)
• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
