Job Purpose
The job holder is responsible for driving individual life business top-line and bottom-line growth while providing customer-centric service to policyholders and claimants in the Jeevan Bharati Branch office in Nairobi.
Principal Accountabilities
- Lead and manage sales teams to maximize profitability and shareholder value through business growth and sustainability while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Carry out office administration and ensure compliance with County and National Government regulations
- Gather market intelligence on future market trends to improve service and product offerings while monitoring competition
- Coach, mentor, develop, train, motivate and evaluate sales team and staff to achieve the highest levels of performance
- Plan and drive brand awareness and penetration to grow market share in the Western Region
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
- Prepare, monitor and report on Life business budgetary allocations
- Lead and manage Life business-related communications at the branch
- Identify, implement and benchmark best practices in management
- Ensure customer service to both internal and external clients by providing required support in agency management
- Manage and implement change initiatives to achieve desired business plans and culture
- Recruit, train, develop and retain intermediaries and alternative channels
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a business-related field
- Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification
- Certificate of Proficiency
- At least 5 years of relevant insurance experience
- Work experience in marketing of Life Business products within the region
