Lecturer in Robotics and System Automation at United States International University - USIU Africa

Job Summary

The successful candidate will report to the Dean of the School of Science and Technology (SST) and will be expected to teach, conduct research, and engage in service performance. This position offers a great opportunity for career growth in robotics and system automation education.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in robotics and system automation
• Support and mentor students in their career endeavors
• Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure programs are up-to-date and marketable
• Participate in program assessment and reviews
• Supervise students' research projects, thesis work, and dissertations at both undergraduate and graduate levels
• Conduct research in robotics and system automation
• Provide service to the University, the profession, and the community
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time

Minimum Educational Qualifications

• An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant field from an accredited and recognized university, with registration or ability to register with the relevant professional body
• OR a Master's degree in a related area from an accredited university with a minimum of 3 years' experience in teaching and/or industrial experience in the relevant field

Professional Requirements

• Minimum of 24 publication points as per CUE Standards & Guidelines 2014, of which at least 16 should be from refereed scholarly journal papers
• Registration for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent doctoral degree qualification
• Registration with the relevant professional body
