Lecturer - Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering/Mineral Processing)

About the Position

Alupe University College invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer in Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering or Mineral Processing.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• PhD in Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering or Mineral Processing) from a recognized or accredited university
• Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience at university level, or three (3) years of experience in research or industry
• Minimum of 24 publication points, with at least 16 points from refereed journal papers
• Registration with the relevant professional body (where applicable)
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Demonstrated potential for teaching and research

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the area of specialization in accordance with the approved syllabus
• Coordinate course projects and practical work
• Prepare teaching and learning materials
• Set, invigilate, and mark examinations and assignments
• Conduct research work in Geotechnical Engineering and Mineral Processing
• Prepare student progress reports
• Develop proposals for research funding
