About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Lecturer in Law to join our expanding team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality legal education and research within a vibrant academic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and implement high-quality curriculum for law programs
- Review and develop curriculum, course outlines, lesson plans, and learning materials
- Prepare contact learning and online course materials and teaching aids
- Employ diverse teaching methods including field studies, group activities, assignments, laboratory sessions, and practical activities to enhance student learning
- Develop and implement learning assessment plans
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate students, graduate students, internship placements, and research projects
- Conduct independent research in specialist areas and publish findings in professional journals, books, and electronic media
- Participate in departmental research initiatives, grant writing, and academic collaborations
- Provide academic and career guidance to students
- Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and participate in industrial linkages and community outreach activities as required
- Contribute to departmental administrative operations and programs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of teaching experience at university level as a Lecturer, or minimum six (6) years of research or industry experience
- Minimum thirty-two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, with at least twenty-four (24) points from peer-reviewed scholarly journals
- Demonstrated national, regional, and international recognition for research
- Successful supervision of at least three (3) postgraduate students to completion
- Evidence of attracting research funding as a Lecturer or Research Fellow
