About the Role
Africa Nazarene University is expanding its academic team and seeking a dynamic Senior Lecturer in Law to join the department. This is an opportunity to contribute to a thriving academic community while advancing your research and teaching career.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and implement high-quality curriculum and course materials
- Review and revise curriculum and course outlines to ensure quality and relevance
- Design and deliver engaging course content using varied teaching methods, including field studies, group activities, assignments, laboratory sessions, and off-class activities
- Prepare contact learning and online course materials and teaching aids
- Develop comprehensive learning assessment plans
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate students, graduate students, internship placements, and research projects
- Conduct research in specialist areas and publish findings in professional journals, books, and electronic media
- Participate in grant writing and collaborative research initiatives
- Advise students on academic, career, and related matters
- Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and industrial linkage activities as required
- Contribute to departmental administrative operations and field programs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of university-level teaching experience as a Lecturer or Senior Researcher, or six (6) years of research or industry experience
- Minimum thirty-two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, with at least twenty-four (24) points from refereed scholarly journals
- Demonstrated national, regional, and international recognition for research
- Successful supervision of at least three (3) postgraduate students to completion as a Lecturer or equivalent
- Proven track record of attracting research funds as a Lecturer or Research Fellow
