Law- Associate Professor at Africa Nazarene University (ANU)

About the Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Africa Nazarene University (ANU) in Nairobi, Kenya as an Associate Professor of Law.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of high-quality curriculum
• Review curriculum and course outlines and develop course and lesson plans
• Prepare contact learning and online course materials and teaching aids
• Employ various teaching methods such as field studies, group activities, assignments, laboratory sessions, and off-class activities to support student learning and deliver course content
• Develop learning assessment plans
• Supervise and guide undergraduate students, graduate students, internship, and research work
• Participate in departmental research and conduct research in specialist areas, publishing findings in professional journals, books, or electronic media
• Participate in grant writing and research collaborations
• Advise students on academic, career, and related issues as required
• Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and industrial linkages or market outreach visits as required
• Participate in departmental administrative and field operations and programs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as a Senior Lecturer, or six (6) years of senior research or industry experience
• Minimum of forty-eight (48) publication points as a Senior Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least thirty-two (32) should be from refereed scholarly journals
• National, regional, and international recognition for research
• Supervised at least four (4) postgraduate students to completion, including at least one doctoral student
• Demonstrated ability to attract research funds as a Senior Lecturer or Senior Research Fellow
