About the Role

Mirema School, a Christian educational institution in Nairobi, Kenya, is seeking a qualified Junior School Teacher to deliver engaging mathematics instruction at the junior school level.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Mathematics, Integrated Science, and Pre-Technical Studies in accordance with the national curriculum
• Develop subject-specific schemes of work, lesson plans, and instructional materials to support effective teaching and learning
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse learning styles and academic needs of learners across all three subjects
• Collaborate with fellow subject teachers and the curriculum coordinator to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects and assessments
• Provide clear explanations of concepts, practical demonstrations, and real-life applications—particularly in Pre-Technical and Integrated Science lessons—to enhance learners' understanding and interest

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education, with related subject area specialization
• 5 years of relevant teaching experience
• Valid TSC registration number
• Valid certificate of good conduct
