ISP Technician- Mombasa at Fireside Engineering Group

About the Role

Fireside Engineering Group is seeking a qualified ISP Technician to join our team in Mombasa. We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates interested in this opportunity.

Education and Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate in Fiber Optics
• At least 1 year of experience in Fiber Optics
• Proficiency in fiber handling and maintenance
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise

Key Responsibilities

• Install and terminate fiber optic cables and other network equipment
• Resolve Loss of Services and Connections within SLA
• Update tickets timely and close them with clear documentation once resolved
• Observe Health and Safety guidelines and ensure quality assurance throughout implementation and maintenance periods
• Educate clients on basic troubleshooting processes and answer fiber optic-related customer questions
• Perform fiber link faulting and fault resolutions within the Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Splice fiber optics at various fiber distribution hubs and troubleshoot fiber links using light sources, optical power meters, and OTDR equipment
• Provide timely updates on fiber faults to NOC personnel and ensure excellent customer service
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and NOC personnel under the direction of field supervisors
• Perform other duties as assigned
