IP Network Engineer at HCS Affiliates Group

Job Purpose

The IP Network Engineer will be responsible for performing on-site installations, feasibility assessments (field and desktop), repair, maintenance, and preventative activities on assigned customers and network nodes. The role includes route inspections within the designated area, all completed within KPI requirements and provided schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Use Workforce management tools effectively—accept assigned tasks, provide required updates (ETA/ETR), perform fault diagnosis with root cause analysis, and submit appropriate RFOs upon ticket resolution
• Provide permanent resolutions for assigned cases to prevent repeat faults on customer links
• Achieve service availability KPIs for assigned customers in accordance with signed customer SLA documents
• Conduct site visits to resolve all customer-reported cases based on assigned tickets within defined SLAs and KPIs
• Achieve node availability KPIs by resolving node issues within SLA timeframes, performing routine maintenance on assigned nodes, and conducting route inspections
• Conduct desktop and on-site surveys to assess requirements for new customer links and solutions
• Implement new customer links and upgrades on existing setups, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of MPLS and Internet links, as well as voice links (PSTN, ISDN, and SIP)
• Supervise and inspect contractors working in the assigned area/region to ensure KPI achievement and adherence to defined standards and guidelines
• Maintain full understanding of the complete suite of existing telecommunications products and solutions
