IP Network Engineer at HCS Affiliates Group

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates. As an IP Network Engineer, you will be responsible for performing on-site installations, feasibility assessments (field or desktop), repair, maintenance, and preventative activities on assigned customers and network nodes. You will conduct route inspections within your designated area, all within defined KPIs and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize Workforce management tools to accept assigned tasks, provide required updates (ETA/ETR), perform fault diagnosis with root cause analysis, and generate appropriate RFOs upon ticket resolution
• Provide permanent resolutions for assigned cases to prevent repeat faults on customer links
• Achieve service availability KPIs for assigned customers according to signed customer SLA documents
• Attend site visits to resolve all customer-reported cases based on assigned tickets within defined SLAs and KPIs
• Achieve node availability KPIs by resolving node issues within SLA, performing routine maintenance activities for assigned nodes, and conducting route inspections
• Conduct desktop and on-site surveys to assess requirements for new customer links and solutions
• Implement new customer links and upgrades on existing customer setups, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of MPLS, Internet links, and voice links (PSTN, ISDN, SIP)
• Supervise and inspect contractors working in assigned areas/regions to ensure KPI achievement and compliance with defined standards and guidelines
• Maintain comprehensive understanding of the full suite of existing Telkom products
