ICT Officer II - 2 Posts at Kenya Rural Roads Authority

About the Role

Kenya Rural Roads Authority is seeking qualified candidates to fill 2 positions of ICT Officer II. This is an entry and training grade position for Bachelor's Degree holders. Officers at this level will work under the guidance of a designated Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and test simple computer programs according to instructions and specifications
• Provide first line support to staff on systems deployed by the Authority including networks, ERP, and websites
• Manage inventory of ICT assets in assigned regions and maintain updated asset records shared annually with the Principal ICTO Network and Infrastructure by the end of the Financial Year
• Maintain up-to-date equipment registers and issuance records
• Verify, enhance, and test simple computer programs according to instructions and specifications
• Install and configure computer systems
• Repair and maintain ICT equipment and associated peripherals
• Monitor the performance of ICT equipment
• Provide user support for applications and systems to enable effective and efficient use of ICT facilities
• Maintain Local Area Network (LAN) components
• Maintain the Authority's website
• Provide expertise on procurement of ICT assets when requested
• Document and implement an annual maintenance plan for all ICT assets within assigned responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Programming, Software Engineering, Business Information Technology, Statistics, or equivalent from a recognized institution
