## Title: Human Resources Officer – Healthcare

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Human Resources Officer in the healthcare industry. This role is based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Operations & Compliance: Manage recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and staff credential verification while maintaining accurate personnel files and ensuring all clinical and non-clinical staff meet regulatory and audit compliance requirements.
  • Performance, Engagement & Welfare Support: Drive employee engagement, administer performance cycles, and address staff inquiries, welfare concerns, and disciplinary matters with timely, fair, and confidential resolution.
  • Policy Advisory & Regulatory Alignment: Guide management and staff on HR policies and labour laws while ensuring HR processes align with healthcare regulations, clinical governance, and quality-of-care standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Mandatory CHRP certification and active membership with IHRM
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and clinical compliance requirements

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Multitasking ability with capacity to manage recruitment, contracts, and training simultaneously
  • High proficiency in regulatory and policy adherence
  • Ability to resolve staff welfare issues with confidentiality and empathy
  • Capability to support clinical teams and maintain rigorous credentialing standards
