## Title: Health Systems Strengthening Officer

Position Overview

The Health Systems Strengthening Officer reports to the Health Systems Strengthening Manager and is responsible for planning and conducting capacity building activities to enhance the health systems of MEDS clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify training needs to inform the development of relevant and effective curricula
  • Develop detailed lists of facilitators and shortlist candidates against established recruitment and selection criteria
  • Develop training materials and deliver training sessions to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Gather training needs for inclusion in annual training programs to support effective planning and organization
  • Develop health training timetables for specific sessions to ensure timely and organized delivery
  • Conduct resource mobilization and proposal writing to support section sustainability via the Project Management Unit (PMU)
  • Coordinate training workshops and serve as a training facilitator where applicable
  • Compile reports after each training session to provide insights for reference and informed decision-making

Required Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences (Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Clinical Medicine & Surgery, BSc Medical Laboratory, Bachelor of Public Health), OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field with demonstrated expertise in resource mobilization and proposal writing

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
