Head of the Global Distributors Collective (GDC) at Practical Action Kenya

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious leader to head the Global Distributors Collective (GDC) and take the organization to the next level. This is a strategic leadership position during a critical growth phase as we transition from establishing advisory services to embedding and scaling our initiatives across the last mile distribution sector.

Strategic Focus Areas

The GDC will concentrate on four key strategic levers during the 2026-30 strategy phase:

• Unlocking Finance: Prepare last mile distributors (LMDs) for investment and help unlock country-level financing mechanisms and create LMD-focused debt facilities
• Strengthening Business Performance: Deliver training, shared services, and data tools that reduce business costs and improve efficiency in scalable formats
• Scaling Innovation: Identify, test, and replicate high-value business innovations and remove ecosystem barriers
• Shaping Systems and Local Leadership: Build local chapters and influence global and national agendas so LMDs are visible, valued, and represented
