About the Role

This is a leadership position at a leading preparatory school in Nairobi. The Head of French will be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children and young persons in their care, and must adhere to and ensure compliance with the School's Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the French department team
• Promote academic excellence in French language teaching
• Create stimulating and engaging learning environments
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils
• Build strong relationships with parents, families, and colleagues
• Stay current with educational developments and commit to continuous professional development
• Contribute actively to all aspects of school life

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience working in British Curriculum Schools
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct or International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC)
• Experience using ICT in teaching and record keeping
• Competent written English
