Head – Corporate Credit Risk Analysis

Key Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of all credit proposal analysis and approvals from Lending Units, Treasury, and other departments that expose the Bank to credit risk
• Oversee the review of Financial Institutions (Banks), Insurance companies, and Treasury limits as required
• Ensure all appraisal decisions meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA) and quality standards, escalating adverse observations to the Director-CMD
• Ensure compliance with Bank Loan policies, lending guidelines, and Government regulations in collaboration with lending units and other CMD departments
• Coordinate Environment and Social risk management, policy implementation, reporting, and capacity building initiatives
• Work closely with the Director – CMD to maintain appropriate credit risk management culture across the organization
• Attend all scheduled credit committee meetings and provide timely, organized responses to internal customer proposals
• Escalate complex internal customer issues to the Director – CMD and other relevant authorities as needed
• Manage department staff and ensure they are adequately resourced, trained, and skilled to perform their roles effectively
• Maintain and develop professional and technical knowledge through training programs, educational workshops, professional publications, and participation in professional structures and studies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field from a recognized university
• Certification in Credit Management or Analysis
• At least 8 years of experience in Credit Analysis
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a Senior/Management role within Corporate Credit Risk Analysis
• Strong knowledge of the Banking Act and Bank Operating procedures
• Understanding of current business trends and banking sector developments
