## Title: Group Head of Human Resources

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Group Head of Human Resources to join HCS Affiliates Group in Nairobi. You will provide strategic leadership and comprehensive oversight of the Human Resources function across the entire group. In this role, you will ensure HR strategy is closely aligned with organizational objectives, contribute to financial sustainability, strengthen our employer brand, improve internal processes, and develop long-term organizational capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities

Financial Perspective

  • Develop and manage group-wide compensation and benefits strategies that balance competitiveness with cost control
  • Lead staff resource planning across the group to align headcount and skills mix with budget allocations
  • Implement productivity initiatives that optimize labour costs relative to output
  • Oversee HR budgeting, ensuring measurable ROI from training, recruitment, and other HR activities
  • Review Balanced Scorecard frameworks to ensure staff rewards are linked with business outcomes

Customer and Employee Perspective

  • Position each company brand as an employer of choice in their respective industry within Kenya
  • Oversee employee relations and industry union harmony (where applicable) in compliance with Kenyan labour laws
  • Develop and monitor employee feedback channels to position the organization as a listening and caring employer
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives to improve satisfaction and retention
  • Develop talent pipelines to meet guest, customer, and business expectations
  • Engage and manage key talent pipeline stakeholders
  • Build a culture of confidentiality, trust, and ethical work practices

Internal Processes

  • Establish and continuously improve HR policies, standard operating procedures, and governance frameworks
  • Lead and champion the Balanced Scorecard performance management process, ensuring appropriate interventions are implemented as needed
  • Implement HR technology systems for real-time analytics and improved management reporting and decision-making
