Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Consultant

About the Role

Population Council is seeking a professional consultant to provide strategic guidance on integrating gender equality and social inclusion principles and measurement indicators into program design and evaluation across various platforms (PANA, E&T, SP&I, and HECSI).

Reporting to the Innovation and Program Office (IPO) Senior Management Team, you will work collaboratively to strengthen the Foundation's commitment to inclusive, gender-responsive programming.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide thought leadership on gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) principles, frameworks, and measurement approaches, including theoretical and practical applications in program design and evaluation
• Develop guidelines and tools for integrating gender equality and social inclusion (gender, youth engagement, disability inclusion, refugee and displaced persons, and safeguarding) into program design, implementation, and evaluations across different platforms
• Conduct training for IPO staff, the Foundation's Impact Team, and implementing partners on the integration of guidelines and tools in program design, implementation, and evaluation
• Contribute to analysis and sense-making of insights generated from the integration of GESI guidelines and tools in program design and evaluation
• Maintain the highest ethical standards when handling sensitive information, ensuring security and confidentiality
• Participate in meetings with IPO consortium partners to clarify issues and ensure alignment on engagement objectives

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Advanced degree in social science, gender equality and social inclusion studies, development studies, or human rights
