Field Biomedical Technologists - Kisumu at Bliss Healthcare

Job Purpose

Install, train, adjust, maintain, repair, and provide technical support for medical equipment and other equipment assigned by your supervisor. This role encompasses planned preventive maintenance, curative maintenance, and predictive maintenance across dental, laboratory, and ultrasound specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Address biomedical equipment breakdowns from start to finish
• Perform calibration and routine preventive maintenance on equipment including hematology analyzers, chemistry analyzers, electrolyte analyzers, nursing equipment, and radiology equipment
• Troubleshoot biomedical equipment to identify faults
• Manage inventory of biomedical equipment at medical center level within assigned region
• Maintain biomedical equipment files at medical center level
• Install, uninstall, service, and repair biomedical equipment
• Provide technical support for equipment breakdowns
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff on biomedical equipment
• Prepare daily and monthly breakdown reports for the head of department
• Request replacement equipment as needed from the head of department

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in Biomedical Engineering
• Membership of AMEK (Association of Medical Equipment Kenya)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in biomedical engineering
• Leadership skills and technical competencies
• Organized approach to discharging duties
