Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join National Bank of Kenya. Reporting to the ICT Architecture & Data Governance Manager, the Enterprise Architect is responsible for developing IT information models and related documentation for IT Systems in use by or to be procured by the Bank. This role ensures alignment with Bank policy, Business Processes, Architecture, Best Practice standards, and methods.

The successful candidate will document a technology governance framework and establish standards to enable acquisition, development, and deployment of IT solutions and services that maximize interoperation, promote re-use, minimize duplication, optimize IT asset utilization, reduce service incidents, and simplify the IT environment across the Bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate enterprise and customer requirements for the content and structure of information deliverables
• Document governance and innovation in data through identification and enablement of data capabilities across the enterprise
• Architect data solutions ensuring performance, fault tolerance, and security with reusable patterns
• Propose data security measures and techniques and guide their implementation
• Document end-to-end data lifecycle management activities and provide guidance
• Develop and maintain an enterprise architecture framework that drives technology, solutions development standards, and provides common approaches for integration across enterprise applications, processes, and data
• Create architecture artifacts, frameworks, and patterns to be used as references by development teams across the organization
• Document processes and solutions ensuring that the defined Enterprise Architecture taxonomy is leveraged by the Enterprise
• Research, analyze, and promote data standards to be used across the enterprise
• Define technical standards across the organization
