Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Electrical Engineer to lead our workshop team responsible for the design, manufacture, and assembly of various electrical boards. The successful candidate will combine strong technical design capability with leadership, client engagement, and strict adherence to international and local electrical standards.
This role requires an electrical engineer who is comfortable moving between the design office, workshop floor, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Engineering
- Design electrical boards and electrical panels in accordance with project specifications
- Produce detailed electrical drawings, schematics, layouts, and bills of materials
- Ensure designs comply with international and local electrical standards (e.g., IEC or applicable local codes)
- Review and approve workshop drawings prior to fabrication
Workshop Leadership & Manufacturing Oversight
- Lead and supervise a workshop team involved in sheet metal cutting, bending, and fabrication
- Oversee panel assembly, wiring, and testing activities
- Provide technical guidance to workshop personnel during manufacturing and assembly
- Ensure quality control, safety, and compliance throughout the fabrication process
- Coordinate workflow to meet project timelines and delivery schedules
Standards, Quality & Compliance
- Maintain strong working knowledge of electrical standards and regulations, both international and local
- Ensure all designs, materials, and manufacturing processes meet compliance and certification requirements
- Undertake inspections, testing, and commissioning activities where required
Client Engagement & Proposals
- Engage with clients to understand technical and functional requirements
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and design concepts aligned with client needs
- Provide technical input during tendering processes
