Driving Instructor III at Bungoma National Polytechnic

About the Role

This is an entry-level driving instructor position at Bungoma National Polytechnic. You will manage theory class sessions, teach driving students about traffic rules, inform them of safety driving procedures, and provide information on emergency situations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage theory class timings and instruction
• Teach driving students traffic rules and safety driving procedures
• Maintain machines and equipment used in instruction
• Prepare lesson plans and instruct both theory and practical work
• Assess and mark student work
• Explain vehicle operation, safety checks, and emergency procedures
• Guide learners through the NTSA guideline and curriculum
• Prepare learners for NTSA Driving exams
• Maintain accurate attendance records for classroom and field practical sessions
• Correspond with management regarding required materials, devices, and kits
• Report equipment faults in a timely manner
• Prepare regular reports

Requirements for Appointment

• Valid Driving Instructor's license
• Valid Driving license with a clean driving record
• Accredited NTSA Instructor number
• Minimum of 2 years' work experience as a driving instructor
• Good conduct certificate
• Conversant with NTSA Traffic Act and Regulations
• Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution
