About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and seeking experienced drivers to join the organization. Two positions are available.

Requirements for Appointment

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of D+ or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Valid driving license free from any current endorsements for the class(es) of vehicle required
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in the grade of Driver II Grade AD 3 or in a comparable position
• Passed the Occupational Trade Test Grade II
• Public Service Vehicle (PSV) certificate
• Defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Refresher Course for drivers (minimum one week) completed within the last three (3) years from a recognized institution
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police Service
• First Aid Certificate from a recognized institution (minimum one week course)
• Demonstrated merit and ability in driving and vehicle maintenance

Key Responsibilities

• Operate motor vehicles as authorized
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Ensure vehicle security on and off the road
• Prioritize safety of passengers and/or goods
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicles and conduct routine system checks (cooling, oil, electrical, brake systems, and tire pressure)
• Carry out minor repairs including oiling and greasing
• Detect and report malfunctioning vehicle systems
• Maintain work tickets for assigned vehicles
• Ensure vehicles have all necessary documentation
• Verify vehicles have relevant repair tools and are serviced on time
