About the Role
The Deputy Director of Research and Planning provides strategic leadership in the formulation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the institution's Strategic Plan and Performance Contract. This position oversees corporate performance management and drives organizational excellence through strategic planning, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and develop the Board's corporate strategy and monitor its implementation
- Analyze key performance indicators to formulate departmental plans, programs, and activities aligned with corporate mission and governmental priorities
- Coordinate the performance contracting process across the organization
- Conduct continuous monitoring and evaluation of strategy implementation and make course corrections as needed
- Coordinate the organizational budget planning cycle by aligning budgets with the strategic plan
- Oversee monitoring and evaluation of all Board programs and projects
- Develop, review, and maintain the monitoring and evaluation framework
- Compile and disseminate monitoring and evaluation reports
- Monitor and evaluate execution of approved performance contracts and provide performance evaluation feedback to departments
- Coordinate periodic management strategy review meetings
- Provide oversight on policies and strategies for customer engagement, Quality Management Systems (ISO), knowledge management, innovation, and business intelligence
- Conduct research on emerging trends and identify business process re-engineering opportunities for process improvement and redesign
- Establish and coordinate the mainstreaming of an innovative culture across the organization
