Deputy Director Performance Management and Productivity

About the Role

Siaya County Government is seeking a Deputy Director for Performance Management and Productivity. This position reports to the Director of Performance Management and Productivity and plays a critical leadership role in advancing performance excellence across the county public sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and implement robust frameworks and guidelines for recognizing performance and productivity throughout the County Public sector
• Lead the identification of sector-specific indices and parameters for tracking and rewarding performance and productivity in liaison with stakeholders
• Coordinate the development, review, and implementation of strategies, policies, procedures, and manuals on productivity and performance
• Review performance and productivity rewards and incentives proposals from public sector organizations and provide recommendations to County leadership
• Analyze existing Government policies impacting performance and productivity to advise the County on best practices
• Champion cultural transformation within the County public sector to foster consistent excellence in service delivery
• Collaborate with stakeholders to influence leadership in County public sector organizations toward sustainable performance and productivity initiatives
• Advise the County on strategies for improving performance and productivity management through progressive, targeted activities to attract, retain, and empower employees
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, Government Circulars, and County policies relating to performance and productivity
• Provide oversight to ensure performance and productivity recommendations are implemented across the county public sector
• Lead benchmarking of performance and productivity frameworks across regional and national contexts
