Cybersecurity Manager at National Bank of Kenya

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join National Bank of Kenya as a Cybersecurity Manager. You will be responsible for implementing, upgrading, and monitoring cybersecurity plans, perimeter and systems infrastructure in line with IT security policies and procedures. This role ensures effective protection and security of Bank systems, business, and customer data while maintaining business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement plans and actions to ensure the Bank's adherence to CBK regulatory requirements for cybersecurity oversight
• Develop and implement cybersecurity plans, systems, and procedures to secure the Bank's ICT infrastructure and systems
• Implement and monitor IT cybersecurity standards for ICT devices and systems to ensure infrastructure protection, health, and uptime
• Implement and monitor IT cybersecurity standards for business systems and user management, including changes, access, authentication, and systems action logging
• Take action to identify, address, and report cybersecurity attacks, destructive or unauthorized access, and maintain continuous protection
• Perform risk assessments and execute tests to sustain and maintain cybersecurity standards for ICT infrastructure and systems, implementing corrective measures as needed
• Ensure compliance with Bank policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and guidelines
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or Business-related field from a recognized university
• Five (5) years of experience in an IT environment within the financial or telecommunications industry
• At least three (3) years of experience in Cybersecurity Management
• Cybersecurity Standards/Management Certification relevant to current technologies
• Project Management Certification
• Leadership and management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification
• Professional banking courses
