County Executive Committee Member - Health & Sanitation

About the Role

Siaya County Government is seeking a qualified County Executive Committee Member for the Health & Sanitation portfolio. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for policy formulation, service delivery, and oversight of health and sanitation functions across the county.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in policy formulation and service delivery
• Promote good governance, transparency, and accountability
• Supervise the administration and delivery of services in the respective departments of the County Government and all decentralized units and agencies in the County
• Implement County legislation and policies
• Manage and coordinate the functions of the County administration and its departments
• Provide the County Assembly with full and regular reports on matters relating to the County
• Advise the Governor on matters within the area of jurisdiction

Required Qualifications

• Be a Kenyan Citizen
• Possess a relevant first degree from a university recognized in Kenya
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
• Be a registered professional where applicable
• Have a minimum of five years of knowledge, experience, and distinguished career in a field relevant to the Health & Sanitation portfolio
• Be conversant with the Constitution of Kenya and all devolution laws

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree

Terms of Service

• Serve during the tenure of the Governor
• Remuneration and benefits as prescribed by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC)
