County Executive Committee Member - Governance & Administration

About the Role

Siaya County Government is seeking qualified professionals to join the County Executive Committee as members responsible for governance and administration. This is a strategic leadership position requiring an accomplished professional to drive policy formulation, service delivery, and good governance across the county.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in policy formulation and service delivery
• Promote good governance, transparency, and accountability
• Supervise the administration and delivery of services in the respective departments of the County Government and all decentralized units and agencies in the County
• Implement County legislation and policies
• Manage and coordinate the functions of the County administration and its departments
• Provide the County Assembly with full and regular reports on matters relating to the County
• Advise the Governor on matters within your area of jurisdiction

Required Qualifications

• Kenyan citizen
• Bachelor's degree from a university recognized in Kenya
• Minimum of five years of professional experience in a field relevant to the portfolio
• Meet all requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
• Registered professional status where applicable
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Constitution of Kenya and devolution laws
• Not currently holding any other State or Public Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree

• Remuneration and benefits as prescribed by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC)
