About This Role
Join Siaya County Government as a County Chief Officer in Governance and Administration. This is an opportunity to lead administrative functions and drive effective service delivery across the county.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the respective County Executive Committee Member, you will serve as the authorised and accounting officer of the department and be responsible for:
- Administration of the county department
- Ensuring effective service delivery through implementation of established policies and regulations
- Implementing County Executive Committee resolutions as guided by the Executive Committee Member
- Implementing policies and development plans
- Developing and implementing Strategic Plans in consultation with the Executive Committee Member
- Promoting national values and principles of governance as outlined in the Constitution of Kenya 2010
- Upholding principles of public service excellence
Required Qualifications
- Kenyan citizenship
- First degree in a relevant field from a university recognised in Kenya
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management position
- General knowledge of County Government functions
- Understanding of county goals, policies, and developmental objectives
- Demonstrated leadership and management capacity
- Knowledge of financial management and strategic people management
- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership and integrity
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher academic qualification from a university recognised in Kenya
Terms of Service
- Three-year contract, renewable annually subject to performance review
- Remuneration and benefits as prescribed by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC)
