About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Country Manager to lead the company's operations in Kenya. You will oversee operations, strategy, and business development of pharmaceutical prescription-oriented products and global brands to drive growth and profitability for Aspen Sub Saharan Africa. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, relationship building, and collaboration with the sales team to create and implement effective business development strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee country-level operations and business performance
- Develop and execute strategic business development strategies
- Conduct market analysis and identify growth opportunities
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships
- Collaborate with sales teams to drive revenue growth and profitability
- Manage and lead the sales team effectively
- Navigate competitive market dynamics with a proactive approach
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a science discipline (Master's degree is an added advantage)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Regional Sales Manager, preferably in the healthcare industry
- Proven track record of driving business growth and forming strategic partnerships
- Familiarity with the healthcare landscape and cultural diversity in Sub Saharan Africa
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of the healthcare market, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical sales strategies and key opinion leader (KOL) management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to address complex issues and develop innovative solutions in a dynamic environment
- Strong presentation skills
