Counseling Psychology- Professor at Africa Nazarene University (ANU)

About the Position

Africa Nazarene University (ANU) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for a Professor position in Counseling Psychology.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as an Associate Professor
• Minimum sixty (60) publication points as an Associate Professor or equivalent, with at least forty (40) from refereed scholarly journals
• National, regional, and international recognition for research
• Supervision of at least five (5) postgraduate students to completion, including at least two (2) doctoral students
• Demonstrated success in attracting research funds as an Associate Professor or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of high-quality curriculum
• Review curriculum and course outlines and develop course and lesson plans
• Prepare contact learning and online course materials and teaching aids
• Employ various teaching methods (field studies, group activities, assignments, laboratory sessions, and off-class activities) to enhance student learning and deliver course content
• Develop learning assessment plans
• Supervise and guide undergraduate students, graduate students, internship, and research work
• Participate in departmental research and conduct research in specialist areas, publishing findings in professional journals, books, or electronic media
• Participate in grant writing and research collaborations
• Advise students on academic, career, and related issues
• Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and industrial linkage and market outreach activities as required
• Participate in departmental administrative and field operations and programs
